We would like to share the path our company has undertaken regarding the supply of electricity, fully consistent with the principles of sustainability and environmental responsibility, with the aim of progressively reducing the impact of our activities on the environment and making a concrete contribution to the ongoing energy transition.
Specifically, we have launched a structured program that предусматривает a gradual increase in the share of energy purchased from renewable sources, with the intention of achieving 100% of our energy consumption from sustainable sources.
This commitment is part of a broader corporate strategy which not only includes the efficient management of natural resources, but also promotes the adoption of green technologies within our production processes.
Our path is being developed in full compliance with the regulations in force, in particular those established by Directive 2009/28/EC, which governs the use of renewable energy within the European Union. To ensure transparency and traceability of the energy used, we have chosen to adhere to the Guarantee of Origin (GO), an electronic certificate that certifies the renewable origin of the energy we purchase.
Guarantees of Origin are issued by the Italian Energy Services Operator (GSE) for each MWh of energy fed into the grid by plants qualified as IGO, and they allow us to verify and officially certify the use of electricity generated from renewable sources.
In practical terms, we have subscribed to the Green Energy Option with our electricity supplier, HERA Comm. This option certifies that the energy we purchase is equivalent to our consumption through the use of GO certificates, in compliance with the Ministerial Decree of 31 July 2009.
This process enables the generation of a Cancellation Certificate, which is officially issued by the GSE. This certificate attests to the use of renewable energy and represents an official tool to document our commitment to a sustainability-oriented path.
Guarantees of Origin not only certify the renewable origin of the energy, but also facilitate the exchange and sale of green energy, contributing to the reduction of CO₂ emissions.
This commitment confirms that the electricity consumed by our company comes from renewable sources with a low environmental impact, thus providing an important contribution to our ecosystem.
In addition, our commitment to the environment is not limited to purchasing energy. We have already installed and put into operation a photovoltaic system, which further helps reduce the ecological footprint of our activities, improving the energy efficiency of our production process. This infrastructure represents a further step towards greater energy self-sufficiency and tangible sustainability.
All these actions are part of a broader environmental management plan, which includes increasing attention to the reduction of CO₂ emissions and continuous improvement in every aspect of our business activities.
